About Dr. Sutter Caton

Dr. Sutter Caton, PT, DPT, CSCS

Sutter Caton, PT, DPT, received his Doctorate of Physical Therapy from Florida Gulf Coast University in 2019. During his time there, he gained valuable experience in a variety of settings, including orthopedics, vestibular, and neurological rehabilitation. He also completed a clinical rotation with the Minnesota Twins Professional Baseball Club, working closely with athletes at all levels of the system. He previously graduated with a B.S. in Exercise Science from Florida Gulf Coast University in 2015, completing an internship as a Strength and Conditioning Coach with the Division 1 teams at the University.

Unlike many physical therapists, Sutter was not inspired to join the profession due to an experience as a patient when he was younger. Instead, Sutter looked for a career that would combine many of his passions. His desire to help others, solve problems, and his interest in improving health were the driving forces behind his decision to become a physical therapist.

A native of Florida, Sutter was originally born in St. Petersburg before moving to Fort Myers to attend FGCU, before finally settling in Babcock Ranch. In his free time, Sutter enjoys weightlifting, spending time outdoors, and training in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, in which he holds a purple belt. In September, Sutter and his wife, Lauren, welcomed their first child, Gavin Caton.
